Are you a dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist looking to utilise your skills to help children who are blind or have low vision?

Then this might be the role for YOU!

  • Use a strengths based approach to develop, plan and evaluate Occupational Therapy services/recommendations that reflect the needs and goals of the school, the children and their families.
  • Provide both individual and group OT intervention programs, to provide clients with maximum independence and the ability to participate in appropriate activities aligned with their choices.
  • Assess children’s capacity to independently participate learning and education, and play and recreation (in the school setting).

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant Occupational Therapy qualifications
  • Strong service delivery expertise
  • High level of communication and organisational and planning skills
  • A demonstrated understanding of person centred practices
  • A collaborative approach which ensures you achieve positive client outcomes, and
  • Ideally an understanding of issues relating to blindness and low vision
