Vision Australia exists to support people who are blind or have low vision to live the life they choose. Vision Australia provides services to more than 25,500 people clients from 35 Vision Australia centres in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia; and through outreach programs in the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced and suitably qualified Finance Partner to join our team in Coorparoo, Brisbane.

Responsibilities 

As a Finance Partner at Vision Australia you will:

  • Clearly understand the key drivers that support business performance in each area of responsibility;
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller and data team to ensure that the integrity of the reported financial information is sound;
  • Critically assess the viability of initiatives and projects supported or proposed by the business units;
  • Identify and recommend enhancements and opportunities to create value in the portfolio of businesses supported;
  • Ensure that the business units have an operational plan to support delivery of budgeted outcomes and hold the businesses accountable to that plan;
  • Review current reporting processes and initiate changes to reflect best practice and minimise risk

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business/Accounting with CPA or ICAA membership;
  • Strong commercial acumen and business decision making;
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management;
  • Experience in developing business cases relating to costing projects;
  • Significant stakeholder management skills and an ability to use non-technical language.
