Vision Australia is a leading national provider of blindness and low vision services in Australia. We work in partnership with Australians who are blind or who have low vision to achieve the possibilities they choose in life.

About who we support

Vision Australia provides services to more than 25,500 people clients from 35 Vision Australia centres in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia; and through outreach programs in the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

About the role

  • Clean houses during client classes which includes vacuuming, mopping, sweeping all floor surfaces.
  • Change and wash the bed linen once a week unless otherwise requested (clients to make their own beds on other days).
  • Change and wash the towels every second day.
  • Lunch and dinner to be prepared each weekday. Meals for the weekend to be prepared on Friday and left in the fridge for reheating.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping position.
  • Full understanding of food safety principles and requirements.
  • Ability to plan menus as well as prepare and serve healthy meals.
  • Attention to detail in maintaining a clean environment.
