Vision Australia is a leading national provider of blindness and low vision services in Australia. We work in partnership with Australians who are blind or have low vision to help them achieve the possibilities they choose in life.

We support more than 27,500 people of all ages and life stages, and circumstances. We do this through 28 Vision Australia centres in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia; 30 clinics; and through outreach programs in the Northern Territory and Tasmania. 

An exciting opportunity awaits a Client Liaison Administration Officer to join our team in Wollongong.


 As a Client Liaison Officer at Vision Australia you will: 

  • Utilise a person-centred and strengths based approach, engage with people who are blind or living with low vision and their families and provide a positive initial contact experience and a pathway to achieving personal outcomes
  • Process incoming referrals for service through a variety of entry points including management of the My Aged Care and National Disability Insurance Scheme portals, telephone based and walk in referrals
  • Contribute to the region achieving the standards and key performance indicators relating to intake and referral
  • Monitor referral trends and produce reports to assist the Regional Manager with decision making


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Certificate IV level qualification in a human services discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding and/or experience in achieving high standards of customer service in complex human services contexts.
  • A strong background in delivering marketing initiatives and managing and coordinating events. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a strong understanding and application of person-centred and strengths based approaches to engage with people who are blind or living with low vision and their families.
  • Strong understanding and/or experience delivering an intake service and assisting clients to explore and develop goals.
  • High level problem solving and analytical skills.
