About who we support

Vision Australia provides services to more than 25,500 people clients from 35 Vision Australia centres in Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia; and through outreach programs in the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

About the role

  • Conduct evaluation of the needs of the client, in keeping with the level of service and items defined in the NDIS plan and Vision Australia service delivery. Using developed clinical knowledge and skills to support families in pre-planning for NDIS;
  • Maintain and manage a small client caseload as determined by the needs of the clients and their service provision needs. Overseeing and support of case reviews for complex clients in line with Service Excellence advice;
  • In conjunction with the client and their family where appropriate, develop a complex support plan incorporating clinical recommendations, that clarifies the actions to be taken. Working with both internal and external service providers to support the client where required;
  • Partner and collaborate with regional service providers to coordinate and oversee services as identified through a thorough evaluation process and then defined in the participants NDIS plan.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Allied Health, and/or related behavioural sciences at degree level with substantial experience; or associate diploma level with substantial experience in the relevant service stream;
  • Current registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership with your professional body;
  • Experience in Paediatric discipline specific clinical service provision is needed along with experience in coordinating responsive individualised support to participants with complex needs and their families;
  • Demonstrated skill in establishing empowering and supportive partnerships with clients and their families with complex needs, with the ability to maintain resilience to work with and support clients who have been exposed to trauma.
